Hugh Griggs was born in NC in 1793. He married Mary Jane PORTER, originally from Ireland, and moved to Cobb County, GA around 1820. Hugh and Mary had many children, and many of those children also had many children. I am looking for the children of those many children. If you have Griggs ancestry in the north GA area, please contact me so that I may look for common ancestors. Personally, I descend from Hugh's son Archibald PORTER Griggs, then Archibald Alexander Griggs, and then John T. GRIGGS. However, many more descendants of Hugh are on file. I look forward to finding even more cousins.
