My great Grandmother was a GRIGSON, (ETHEL MAUD CLIFFORD GRIGSON b 1872) Illegitimate daughter of ELLEN MARGARET GRIGSON, b 1851 Third Daughter and fifth child of the REVEREND WILLIAM GRIGSON. b 1809.

I have a large GRIGSON family tree which has come from my Uncle who has been in contact with various Grigsons over the last 20 years or so. This tree shows JAMES EDWARD GRIGSON b 1873 eldest son of the REVEREND EDWARD GRIGSON b 1846, second child of the REVEREND WILLIAM GRIGSON b 1809
of JAMES EDWARD GRIGSON the tree states Descendants not known.

The REVEREND WILLIAM GRIGSON b 1809 had 9 children all of which appear to have stayed in the UK however his brother EDWARD ROBERT GRIGSON b 1814 had 11 children 2 sons Thomas & Edward spent many years in Ceylon and 6 sons, Robert, Charles, John, James, Francis & Philip went to Australia
