This is my grandfather who immigrated to Michigan, born Mar 17, 1863. He had 3 sisters, Vendeline, Minnie who died in 1941 near Vienna, Veronica born 9/4/1868 & migrated to US & married, Johann born 3/18/1870, and brother Franz. Their parents were Mathias Grill and Veronica Kump. I cannot find any information on these other three children any where nor on my great-grandparents. They were devote Catholics, all six children attended Catholic schools, & spoke English. Vendeline became a teaching nun at Holy Ghost or Spirit Convent [was translated as Villa but think it's Convent]. I cannot find this location either. Somehow, I'd truly like to find this genealogy and have been trying for years. Anyone have a clue where I can look for Mitterdorf, Gottschee, Steiermark, Austria? Getting nothing on them but know the names are RIGHT. Would appreciate help. Thanks.
