My great grandmother was Margaret Grimshaw born in Hindley in 1845 and died in 1888, I think she died in Morley.
She was the daughter of Richard Grimsahw b. 1815 in Ashton in Makerfield d. 1884 in Wigan and Catherine Bushell b. 1812 in Hindley and died in 1856.
Margaret married John Kirkman in 1867 in Hindley and they moved to Morley Yorkshire where my grandmother Margaret was born in 1880 - she died 3.09.1938 in Hindley Green.
When my great grandmother died the family returned to the Hindley and my great grandfather remarried.
