Hi all, I posted a message to the Grinnell list first and when I went to post this one at Ancestry.com it said that it would send it to the list as well so I apologize for the double posting.

My message is, I'm going to Little Compton RI next week to see the place that the GFA calls "the Cradle of the Grinnell's" My 8x Great-grandfather, Daniel Grinnell moved there in 1679. I'm sure that I'm not the first Grinnell researcher to visit this area with a handle like that so I'm wondering who else has made the pilgrimage and what did you find there pertinent to the Grinnell line? I've already found out that there is a beach in the area named Grinnell Beach. Did anyone else find any interesting Grinnell tidbits in the Little Compton, RI area?
