That's my line of descent. My great grandfather was William Grippin (1823-1869), born in Binghamton, NY. His son (my grandfather) was George Grippin (1865-1933). I don't have the connection further back with me (between my great grandfather, William, and your William, but I'm sure that I have it at home and will get back to you tonight or so with plenty more information.
