I am beginning to researchmy families heritage and have not found anything under the spelling of my name. I am guessing that somewhere down the line the "w" was dropped from"Growden" and families started to go by "Groden". Does anyone know if I should research this or not. I am a "Growden" and it looks as if the majority of my ancestors settled or are from the Southeast or South-central Pennsylvania or Northeast or North-central Maryland.
