I have Groebners in St. Paul, Ramsey Co., MN that lived on Front Street and 951 Gaultier Street, and another street nearby, I think Marion Street. Our family believes that they had relatives in either Brown county or other MN Bohemian areas. My mother can't remember. My great Grandmother was Margaret Groebener (1873-1942). Her parents were: George Groebner (1840-1905) and his wife Barara (1840-1904). Their children were: Charles, Margaret, Mary.

Did any of your Groebner's have relatives that resided in St. Paul? I can send you more information. I believe this family emigrated from Bohemia about 1880.

Margaret Groebner married my great grandfather Jacob Knopf (later Knoph) about 1895.

Andrea, Is Clements, MN in Brown Co., MN? I have just begun research on the Groebner part of my tree. I have a few census entries and a couple of City Directory entries. I think our Groebner's started out living in Brown Co., MN before moving to St. Paul, Ramsey Co., sometime around 1880. I would be glad to send you a copy of my Family Tree Maker GEDCOM or a report style of my tree. Let me know...
All of these names are familiar as from the Rice Street neighborhood where I grew up. You might check with St. Bernard's Catholic Church. I know the grade school was built sometime after the church but may have records also. This is a comunity where English was a secon language and German was spoken at home and in school. Between St. Bernard's and St. Agnes, both in St. Paul, you may find what you are looking for.

Hi. My grandfather was Louis Groebner (Grobner) and I believe he was born in Hart, Germany. He was born in 1903 or 1905 and he passed away in 1982 or 83 (in Chicago) and I know very little about his family. I believe he had two brothers named Joseph and Tony (Anton). Their mother passed away when they were very young and I believe her name was Barbara. I don't know her maiden name. I think my grandfather's father was named Joseph.

I would greatly appreciate you contacting me if you have any info. Thank you so much!
