Classification: Query
Does anyone have a Carl Groeger on their tree? He was born in Germany - probably close to Heilbronn - and moved to London, marrying Louisa Roeszler at St Saviour, Southwark in 1831.
He appears on several censuses as a comb maker. I believe his wife died c1850. There were 5 children:
Frederick (1836), Rosina (1837), Ernest (1838), Louisa (1839), Carl (1844)
Some of the children may have gone back to Germany or died but I know that Carl was with his father in London up to 1871.
Could you reply direct to libbynorman@gmail.com if this sounds familiar.
Thanks
