Groen from Tichelwarf, Ostfriesland

My great grandfather born July 26,1862 was Jan Groen. He was born in Tichelwarf, Ostfriesland and lived in or around Pever or Lincoln county South Dakota. His name was later changed to Jan Green. I am interested in any info anyone may have regarding this.Thanks.
