My Kansas Groom family had a neighboring home owned by a Mr.Blue. My Grandad always spoke kindly of Mr. Blue, but I never got to meet him. I'm told most of the time Mr. Blue lived elsewhere and rented the property to others.
I've wondered whether a Groom girl married a Blue somewhere between Louisa Virginia and Cole Co, MO or Peoria, IL between 1836-1848. There is a gap in my knowledge of their whereabouts during their transit. I've found two suspected Groom sisters in MO. A Blue/Groom marriage could be a 3rd daughter. The Groom entourage was large. It may have been simultaneous or sequential. I found them homesteading in KS with lots of cousin names on the plats surrounding them.
