I am a descendant of Arthur Kermit Grooms, 1914, married to Clara Meyers. I have found very little information that I can confirm. I did find an Arthur K. Grooms in a 1920 census - Otero County, Colorado. Lists siblings as: Silas, Augusta, Mary E., William E., and Robert K. There is not a first name listed for head of household. My understanding from my father, Charles W. Grooms, is that his grandmother (mother of Arthur K. Grooms) was Cherokee and came from Oklahoma. I am new to genealogy research and any hints or advice of how to proceed and be accurate would be helpful. I am willing to share any information that I find in exchange for new information or help.
