Searching can all at once be so intriguing and frustrating...i didn't know much of my family at all until Facebook allowed me to see who my mom's sister was keeping up with...my Grandpa George's siblings are: Pauline, Mary, David, William, Boodie, Charles, Anne and there's one i can't recall. Due to this fb outreach, i was invited to a Gross/Burriss(my Grandpa's mom Hattie Burriss) family gathering to allow us a chance to get acquainted for the big reunion they are planning next year. It was overwhelming, but so exciting. so, also try fb to see if you can connect with potential relatives.
