Can anyone tell me whether the Jim Grosse born in Bradford, England in 1907 is related to my father, also Jim Grosse, born in Horsham, Sussex in 1909? My Jim is probably the grandson of James and Ann Grosse of North Collingham, Nottinghamshire, both born about 1847. Their children were Edwin(Edward my grandfather), Alice, Ada, Ann, Kate, Thomas, twins Mary and Elizabeth(Maud) and James. Are there and descendents of any of these?

George Frederick Grosse - Vancouver

Can anybody out there help me? My paternal grandfather George Frederick Grosse, born in London 1874, split up from my grandmother in the early 1900's. I know he turned up in Vancouver in 1914, enlisted in C.E.F. in 1916, discharged in 1917 and worked as a salesman in Vancouver until he retired, dying in 1959. Mary Elizabeth Grosse (nee Venn) died in 1954. (a) were they married? I can find no record of it. (b) According to family stories here in the UK, he was killed in the 1st World War. It turns out he wasn't! When he went to Canada he left a wife and two children in England (one was my father.) The plot thickens!<br> Thanks, Tony Grosse
