Logan Harrison Grosvenor

Logan Harrison Grosvenor was one of my
grandfather. My mom was Barbara Potter
who's mother was Jewel Gosvener and
somewhere along the line my grandfather
changed his name from Grosvenor to
Gosvener so I'm pretty sure that Logan
was part of my family. Please give me any
information known about him.

Grosvenor Link

Okay folks, I am very very new at this, so please
put up with me on this.

I've just started all of this research.

I have come across some research done by
my wife's maternal grandfather William
O'Conner Heacock. I know it is not in
the standard accepted format, but I am willing
to share the info with anyone who may want it.

It goes back several hundred years.

My problem with it is that he left a gap between
himself and relatives in the 1800's; he must
have assumed when he wrote this that, of course,
everyone knew THAT history since it was so recent.

Prevelant names in this research:
Heacock
Grosvenor
Davies
Veneur

Hope I can help someone and they canhelp me!

THANKS!

Thank you for your info--this man may be the one or may be his father. My "Godfrey" lived in Ohio and had a son,Benjamin Smith Grosvenor in the mid-1800's. BSG fathered 4 children starting in l873 (my grandpa--John Ferdinand born in l875) before dying at a young age--his youngest daughter, Daisy, only 2 weeks old. Died without telling his wife where his family was. Benjamin and his wife MaryJane Gray lived in Wauconda, IL at the time of his death in an accident at work in Elgin, IL>Godfrey M. might be too old--do you have any places of residence? Any info most welcome--Nice to meet a fellow Grosvenor! Nat'l Geographic Grosvenor's sent me info on the first Grosvenor to come to New England from England in the 1600's--died in an Indian attack leaving 9 sons and a widow--so we all go back to him I think! Please write again.. Diane
