MANSFIELD: Iva Marie Grubaugh, 87, of 1693 Riva Ridge Dr., Mansfield,Ohio formerly of Galion, Ohio died Monday, November 15, 2010 at MedCentral Hospital, Mansfield. She had been in failing health for the past 5 years.
Mrs. Grubaugh was born in Crawford County, Ohio on December 20, 1922 to the late Jesse and Bessie (Hinkel) Starling. She married William Grubaugh on June 29, 1946 and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2007.
She was retired from the Galion Inquirer as a paste up artist. Mrs. Grubaugh was a member of First United Church of Christ, Galion. Iva was a graduate of North Robinson High School class of 1940.
Iva enjoyed bowling and loved gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda Collins, Mansfield, Ohio; two grandchildren, Matthew Collins, San Jose, CA and Elizabeth Collins, Mansfield.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Grubaugh; four sisters, Gladys Starling, Martha Snavely, Wanda Cotsamire and Rowena Chandler; and one brother, Glen Starling.
Friends may call on Thursday November 18, 2010 from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Mark A. Schneider Funeral Home, Galion, Ohio. Graveside services will follow at Fairview Cemetery with Rev. Bradley Smith officiating.
