Hi-I'm looking for info on my geat-grandfather John Grubba. He was born in Germany around 1854. He lived in Alpena, Michigan-marrying 2 times. The first wife being Tracy (or poss Lacy) S??ffski married March 1881 in Alpena and divorced 1887. John then married Maggie Marshall (that's the American name-she was born in Germany) September 1887. There was a John Grubba in the Detroit area with a wife samilar to Maggie's but it's not the same one-I think. John and Maggie did have children but John also left his wife for a few months here and there but always comming back. The only Census info I have on John is 1900. Nothing for 1910, then 1920 just Maggie. I have not been able to find any death info on John-since he left a lot. If any of this sounds familar, let me know. Thank you in advance for your help.
