Its a family story that my Irish GGGrandmother was a wealthy land owners daughter, who ran away to the colonies with the estates grounds keeper (gardener). I was told that she entered an abbey, while her young husband set up house and farm. I believe they must of come illegally from Canada. My Grundy family is based in New York.
They are Joesph b.1913 Joseph b.1877 Frank b.1843
I cannot find more about Frank Grundy's parents other than that they were Irish. Any one with clues?
