Hello everyone Im back. :o) I have been busy researching and hitting one brick wall after another with my McNiff family tree. Today I decided to do the search with the different spellings and I think I may have come up with a match. So far I am sure of the following:
1930 census, NY state, Erie Co., 7th ward Buffalo, pg. 53, April 4.

- James, son, b. Oct. 1872, age 27, b. MA., father b. ? ( can`t read) mother b. Ireland, occ. weigher-wire mill

McNiff, Walter J., boarder, b. Mar. 1896, age 3, b. MA., parents b. MA.

1900 census, Massachusetts, Worcester Co., Boylston, pg. 212
Marsh, Daniel, head, b. Apr. 1827, age 77, b. NH., occ. farmer
McNiff, Ellen, housekeeper, b. Dec. 1847, mother of 1 child, 1 living, b. Ireland, parents b. Ireland, immig. year 1865, occ. housekeeper

I have always hit a wall with Ellen and her history and today I found the following: Does anyone have this family in there history??

Massachusetts Marriages, 1841-1915
name: Michael Mcaniff
Marriage event date: 14 Aug 1871
event place: Worcester, Worcester, Massachusetts
gender: Male
age: 23
marital status: Single
birthplace: Ireland
estimated birth year: 1848
father: James Mcaniff
mother: Ann
spouse: Ellen Gunnigan
spouse's marital status: Single
spouse's father: Bernard Gunnigan
spouse's mother: Bridget
record number: 724
digital folder number: 4332359

This is a major break through if this is correct, I can not find anything additional of the Gunnigan family in my search. Confusing, but the dates are there and the names match as well as the location so I have that warm fuzzy feeling inside. I just want to confirm before moving ahead. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
