hi everyone,just read everyone's post-very interesting.i'm doing research on surnames-quartararo/guardino.what i remember is that two quartararo brothers from sciacca sicily travelled to the us and married two guardino sisters...thus a very large family of cousins.both these families were in the fish business. my grandmother augusta passed away when i was a child and her sister who lived a very long life (working at her fish market in the bronx) must be the grandmother or great grandmother mentioned on your posts.at this time i can not recall her name but will find out.anyone have the quartararo name in their family.very interested in doing family research and plan a trip to sicily to do same.
