I have just noticed the request you put on Genealogy forum in 2001 for information regarding Panola Guice. I'm sorry to be so late in answering you, but I've just started using the Internet. Anyway, let me tell you that we are definitely related. Panola Guice Neyman was my father's (Robert L. Guice) older sister. I remember her very well. My six siblings and myself grew up in the same community of Pine Grove (known as "Piney") as Aunt Panola, and we knew her children and grandchildren. I do not remember her husband Uncle Elec, who committed suicide. Panola's father was my grandfather Thomas Newton Guice. He was from Clayton Co. Georgia, and enlisted at age 17 in the Confederate Army. I don't remember him, but I have heard .stories about himover the years from my older brother Jim. Aunt Panola has grandchildren who live in Cherokee county. Please contact me.
