Leonor Guillermo
Leonor A. Guillermo, 88, of Lodi, died April 1 in a Lodi hospital. He was born July 7, 1917, in the Philippines.
He worked as a laborer in the Philippines for many years before retiring in 1976. He then moved to Lodi and remained until recently.
He was a Philippine Army Veteran and fought alongside American troops in World War II. He was a member of the Temple Baptist Church of Lodi, and enjoyed gardening.
He is survived by his sons, Salvador Guillermo and Rogelio Guillermo, of the Philippines; daughter, Lydia Guillermo, of the Philippines; brother Ray Guillermo, of Fremont; sister, Aurora Guillermo, of Lodi; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Amparo Benzon, in 2003.
A chapel service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Lodi Funeral Home, followed by interment at Cherokee Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from noon to 8 p.m. today at Lodi Funeral Home.
