Regarding the last information you gave about the Spanish ship .... my cousin was researching the origin of the Guinan nane and did in fact find a derivation in Spain.

My group of Guinana seem to have come over with British troops during the American Revolutionary war. They settled in Vermont, [married a Shadrick] My father's oral history indicates that those that did not settle in Vermont may have traversed the continent across Canada before ending up in Montana, which is where I hale from.
