Sorry I'm responding in November when your message was sometime in August! In any event, William F. Guinan was my great grandfather who was born in Ireland, somewhere near the Offaly/Roscommon border. He married Catherine Downey in South Roscommon in the early 1880s, had two children, my grandfather, Patrick Joseph and another son, Thomas. They left and came to Boston in 1886 where 8 other children were born. I'm not too sure about Williams's siblings, except I know two for sure - one John Guinan who was in Boston and also a sister Mary who became Mary Maloney through marriage. I haven't found others yet, but William's parents were Patrick Guinan and Mary Furey. I haven't seen the name Phillip with my family, but there has been a Phillip Guinan in the old Boston directory at the turn of the century. He was a paperhanger. I'll look and see if I see anything further on Phillip. Is he related to your family? Good luck to you.
