Catherine A. Guinan married John Kenny about 1835-36. It is believe Catherine was born about 1814-1815. They had 5-6 children in the Offaly County. Bridget, Mary Ellen, Thomas Andrew, Kieran, and Catherine and possibly one son who died in Ireland. The last three were baptised in Cloghen, Banagher Catholic Parish, County Offaly, Ireland and the surnames of their sponsors were Smollin and Cusack.
Catherine died about 1849, her sister Mrs. Charles Carroll helped John with the children until 1856 when the last of them joined their father in Ohio. The youngest daughter born 1844 married a distant cousin, Thomas Guinan, sometime during the Civil War. They moved to Wyoming.
