Della Marie Bernini Guion, 85, of Black Lick, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 at her home. She was born March 12, 1923 in Black Lick, a daughter of Louis J. and Maria Otelli Bernini. Mrs. Guion was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption, Coral, and the Christian Mothers Association. Surviving are a daughter, Marla Jo Guion, at home; two granddaughters, Jill and Jodi Gastel, both of Black Lick; a brother, Daniel Bernini and wife Agnes, Blairsville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mario R. Guion, in 1986; a daughter, Nancy Gastel, in 2002; three brothers, Pete, Guerino and Charles Bernini; three sisters, Inez Bernini, Nellie Brida and Mary Lou Olson. A prayer service was held Tuesday at the Shoemaker Funeral Home, Inc., Blairsville, followed by a funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption, Coral, with Fr. Terry Hercik as celebrant. Interment was in Blairsville Cemetery, Blairsville.pa,
