This was sent to me last nite.Thought I would post on here for those that were interested. This is my great-uncle, sister Lessie Parrish was my grandmother.He was the son of Willie Gray Gupton & Carrie Hamlett Gupton.

Gupton Louisburg-Mr. Will Johnson Gupton Sr.,96,passed away Saturday, Jan.12,2008, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mr. Gupton was preceded in death by his two wives,Pearl and Edna; two brothers, Raymond and Oscar;three sisters, Lizzie Collins, Lessie Parrish, and Lucy Gupton; and a daughter-in-law, Jean Gupton. He is survived by a daughter, Frances Chadwick, and husband Steve of Montgomery, Ala.;two sons, Johnson Gupton,Jr. of Winston-Salem and Donald Gupton and wife Patricia of Drexel; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr.Gupton will be conducted at 1 p.m. today,Jan.15,2008, at Sandy Creek Baptist Church,with burial to follow in Red Bud Baptist Church Cemetery both in Louisburg. THe family received friends from 6 to 8 Monday evening, Jan.14,2008, at Lancaster Funeral and Cremation Services in Louisburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Red Bud Baptist Church or Sandy Creek Baptist Church in Louisburg.
