Researching my Guss family history and getting no where fast.
Need all the help I can get.
John Guss/Frederick there is some confusion on his name, may be John Frederick b. abt. 1849 in Germany came to US March 14, 1885 Philladelphia
Ship: The City of Berlin manafest # 38096 last address Hamburg. Departed Liverpool and Queenstown. After checking in
the reference book "Germans to America" volumes 51 and 56 it shows Frederick was from France.
Married Magdelene/Magdeline(Blatt) b. abt. 1858
Magdelene age 29 left Bavaria debarked from Hamburg
Ship: Morovia manafest 40689 arrived NY. Oct 1, 1888
With her were Ludwick age 7, Mary age 6 and my grandfather
Ferdinand Daniel age 5.b. Oct. 16, 1882 in Alsac Lorain Germany.
Married: Emma Lucille (Ott) 1906 daughter of Charles and Malinda(Roberts) Ott Emma was b. Sept. 11, 1886 Belleville, ILL.
Ferdinand was a baker and employed by Mohler Bakery in Peru, Indiana at the time of his death. Oct. 16, 1930 at the age of 47.

John Herman b. Nov. 23, 1918 Marion. Ind.

d. June 1, 1983 Peru, Ind.
daughter Patsy died in infancy Chicago, Ill.
