Peter Wilhelm Gustavus was born 16 Mar 1881 (I believe, in Baltimore) and died circa 11 Dec 1957. He is buried in the Mount Olivet Cemetery in Baltimore, Maryland. His parents were Peter & Caroline Gustavus nee Aberle.
I am looking for information on the life of this man, as I am sure he has fathered at least two daughters with a woman named Peggy, "a farmer's daughter" (as she referred to herself in a handwritten letter to one of Peter's sisters). I believe that Peggy was born circa 1894...possibly in Ohio.
The two daughters whom she referred to in this letter are Peggy (born circa 1914) and Shirley (born circa 1916). In the letter, Peggy describes her daughters who were out playing in the yard behind a hotel in Akron. Both girls had the last name of Gustavus.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?
From the tone of the letter, my impression is that for some reason this was not a marriage that Peter's family looked upon favorably.
Any information would be so appreciated. We have a few early photos of Peter that we would enjoy sharing with those related to him.
Thank you,
Kim
