Beekmantown — Viola C. Gutelius, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at the CVPH Medical Center in Plattsburgh.

She was born in Standish on Nov. 1, 1923, the daughter of Edward J. and Lillian H. (Rivers) Baker.

She is survived by her husband, Frank D. Gutelius of Deweyville, Texas; six sons, Marcus Gutelius of Sulpher, La., Warren Gutelius of Akron, Ohio, Frank Gutelius Jr. of Akron, Ohio, Donald Gutelius of Beekmantown, Scotty Gutelius Jr. of Vinton, La. and Martin Gutelius of Akron, Ohio; four daughters, Carmen Dow of St. Augustine, Fla., Diane of Kentucky and Renee and her twin sister Pamela of Erie, Pa.; three brothers, Edward J. Baker Jr. of West Plattsburgh, Max Baker of Cleveland, Ohio and Arthur Baker of Cadyville; two sisters, Mildred Baker of West Plattsburgh and Helen Chapman of Cleveland, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Three brothers and a sister died earlier.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the O’Neill-Redden-Drown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday from St. Alexander’s Church in Morrisonville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
