Hi Bill, Kay or Sue,

My name is JoEllen, and I also am a Gutt, from Connecticut. My Great Grandparents are Frank and Agatha, and they were married in 1903. I wonder if any of you, or other Gutts know anything about the Gutts here in CT. My Great Uncles worked a tobacco farm in Glastonbury through most of the 1900's. Most of the Gutts have passed away.

I would just like to know if anyone has any info about the Gutts' immigration, and ancestry. I have found so much info about my roots, it would be a shame if I couldn't find more. Thanks!
Jo
Bill and or Kay,
In reviewing your old message I realize I may be related. I am wondering if there was a Robert Guht married to a Lilliam Stager in your family. If so I am a decendant of Lillian's sister Margaret or "Peg". Who was married to Otis Schiffer.

If you have any further info on the Stager family it would be much appreciated. I have created a ged file of what I know if you are interested.

Thanks, Sue Heuchert in Santa Barbara.

The Gutt Family name

Here's what I know about the Gutt name with regard to my family (and it's sketchy at best) but I would certainly like to trace more if anyone can help. My name is Patricia (Schauer) Puckett. My mom is Carol Schauer nee Hamen. My mother's father (Hamen) died in a fire in Indiana when she was about 6 yrs old. My grandmother who died last year in a fire was named Ruth Carey Hamen Spore. Grandma's brother : Harold Carey is married to Wanda Carey nee Gutt. Her mother (grandma Gutt just passed away a few months ago. Grandma Gutt's maiden name , I believe is Rampke. Grandpa Gutt (and I can't for the life of me remember his first name-passed away many years ago. He was a farmer for as long as I can remember, a little man, very sweet!) That's as much as I know of the Gutt name (resided in Valparaiso, IN. Please share more if you can
Patti pave1128@xta.com

GUTT SURNAME

Kay... I'm from Canton Ohio. My Great Grand Father was Peter Guht married to Caroline Huber. I know nothing about them. I have discovered that Gutt maybe more Swedish than German. Gut if the German form. The wife of one of Perter's sons (My GrandMother) changed the name from gutt to guht, to avoid being called gut. It did no good. I also found out that the surnames Good, Guth, Guht, Gutt, and Gut could all be releated.
Please drop me a line. ...Cousin Bill
