Hi!

I'm doing some research on my father's family and came across your message. My grandfather was Roy Jones Guyer, the 3rd son of B. Frank and Susan Jones Guyer. I have a family history that was put together by his youngest sister, Lottie B. McClellan. According to my records Elizabeth Basore and Peter Guyer were B. Frank Guyer's parents.

Today I found out a lot about Peter Guyer serving in the 3rd Pennsylvania Regiment. I'd love to connect with you and see what information we can share.

Kind regards
Susan Kaufmann-Guyer

Are you sure? That would mean Peter (b.1735) had children at 66 and 86! My research his children were John, Mary, Jacob and Catherine. John was a drummer in the Revolution. Is it possible that your Peter (b. 1791) and David (b. 1811) are the sons of John? I know that my family goes back to Peter Geyer, and I have a definite line back through five generations of George Geyers and then David Geyer (1811-1872).
I would love to hear anymore info. you have. Feel free to email me. BTW, my name is David Geyer (b. 1976)!

Hi 1850 census records show that Elias Guyer was 23 years of age and the son of John and Margaret Guyer. John was listed as a weaver and they were residing in Metal Township, most likely the Mt Green area as the old Guyer homestead remains standing but is in very poor condition.
I would like to know if this John Guyer is the son of the Bugle Boy that particpated in the Revolutionary War at the age os 12-14?

Interesting that you mention Waxahachie. My mother and all her brothers were born there. There is a street in Waxahachie named after my grandfather (husband of Myra Jane Guyer Kirksey)--Kirksey St. Speaking of Stanford, my uncles went to Stanford and my cousin, Fronsa Ruth Kirksey Bullmore, graduated there in 1950. I was a San Jose State and UC Berkeley girl.
I suggest we continue this conversation via e-mail as my subscription to Ancestry expired Jan 2.I can still visit my family web site but can't search anything. I think you can still access my e-mail address by clicking on my name.

Maureen

Amanda had many more than two children, including my grandmother, Myra Jane Guyer Kirksey. For more of the family tree see my tree, the Watkins-Kirksey family tree on Ancestry. My mother, Myra's daughter, was good friends with Lois Fort. On my family site I have several photos of Lois when she and my mother were teenagers.

Maureen Garbarino

Hello;
I think your GGGgrandmother is a common relation to my family. My GGGgranfather was John Guyer of Porter Twp., Clarion Co., PA. Info that I have also makes reference to a Susannah & Sarah as some of his sibblings. Our John Guyer purchased the first mill in Porter Township on Leatherwood Creek from John Shaw. He then built a woolen-mill on the property. Also purchased a land patent for 60ac from the Commonwealth of PA in 1838. In 1839 he sold it to Samuel, John & Stewart Wilson on April 6.

The Wilsons and James Laughlin developed a Store and the Leatherwood Post Office at about that same time.

I would appreciate collecting copies of any info or documents that you may have discovered about Elizabeth Guyer Delp and her children, and any earlier family relatives.

It is great to meet you!

Sincerely,
Robert Guyer
Simi Valley, CA

GuyerInspections@roadrunner.com
Is there anyone here from TN with the surname Guyear?

Looking for people from TN with this name who may have been related to an Eliza Jane Guyear who married Charles
Edwin Way. I have found the last name spelled Guier, Guyer, Guyear, Garr and other alternatives. Some of the Way family is buried in Oak Grove Cemetery in Marion Co, TN and there are two handpainted stones there with the name Guyear in that same cemetery (a Issac Newton Guyear and Robert Henry Guyear). If anyone knows who these two gentlemen were or if there is a large Guyear family near Marion please contact me. I know there are living people in Tracy City, TN and other locations with this name.

I am researching Sallie Maud Guyer, but havent been very successful. She married my g-grandfather, Julian David Visart, in Texas, after my g-grandmother, Elizabeth Palmer Marshal, passed away. I found one born in Missouri who appears to be the right age. She lived a good long time after Julian David's death. I didnt know she was married before. I would like to compare notes. Hope to hear from you.

Viva Mae was my great-grandmother. I some information on her, taken off of her death certificate and bits & pieces taken off various years' census. She married a man named William B. Wright, although I don't know where or the marriage date. Had a son, Ray A., in Seward NE (my grandfather). Three children born to Viva and William in Montana; Frank O, Mattie S. and Eva L. Researching my grandfather Ray A. Wright has led me to limited information on Viva Mae.

I have limited information on viva mae oesterling, daughter of Marie Eva Guyer and am looking for more. I have just received from the Seward Co. genealogy society the obituary of Joachim Oesterling. I am hoping to connect with someone else who is doing research on the Oesterlings of Dakota City, NE.
