Re: Tracing Guyetts in Canada

You need to find out where in QC they were from. You will best learn that by learning as much as you can in VT. Find every birth record of their children plus Joseph and Julia's death records. Talk to every family member and find out if the name of a place in QC has ever been mentioned. Get the birth names of every female. Work on the female lines and see if any place names come up. Eventually you will be led to a particular location. Once you have the location, the answers will be found in parish records. Many of those records are available on microfilm for your local Family History Center. Once you get back to 1799 the rest is easy because it is readily available.

For now, while you gather information, post more specific information here. Give names, dates and locations for all of Joseph and Julia's children, especially female surnames, as well as posting as much as you know about Joseph and Julia. Find Joseph, Julia, and all of their children in every census of their lifetimes and keep good notes.

Regards,
Sharyn

Rosa Guyette Young died 1906. No info on Adelia or Louise. Josephine and Emily married Lorge brothers. Matilda married Clarence Polar and William Geiger. Is Liza(belle) the same person as Elizabeth who married Hintzke? If so, how many husbands did she have? I would appreciate any information. Thank you.
