Frank M. Guzik
Frank M. "Buttons" Guzik, 90,
of Elizabeth Township,
passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011,
at Select Specialty Hospital in McKeesport.
Born Sept. 15, 1920, in McKeesport,
he was a son of the late John Guzik and Magdalena Mikut Guzik.
Frank was the husband of the late Margaret C. "Peggy" Jeney Guzik.
He was a retired self employed home maintenance contractor.
He was a member of Corpus Christi Parish in McKeesport. Frank served with the Army during World War II in the Pacific with the 472nd Glider Field Artillery 11th Airborne Division. He was an active member of the Old Polish Republican Club in McKeesport and he enjoyed both polka music and dancing. Survived by a son, Richard "Rick" (Joyce) Guzik, of McKeesport; granddaughter, Coriann Guzik, of McKeesport; sister, Helen Englert, of McKeesport; brother, Louis "Guffy" (Sally) Guzik, of Boiling Springs, N.C., formerly of McKeesport; nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the JAYCOX-JAWORSKI FUNERAL HOME INC., 2703 O Neil Blvd., McKeesport, PA 15132. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Corpus Christi Church in McKeesport with the Rev. Stephen A. Kresak as celebrant. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Mary's Polish Cemetery, White Oak.
