Eileen Ann Stillman, daughter of Melbourne and Ann (Coady) Haag, was born August 6, 1957 in Estherville, Iowa. She attended school in Ledyard graduating from Ledyard High School.

On November 17, 1978 Eileen was united in marriage to Jeffrey Stillman at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Emmetsburg. To this union two sons were born.

Eileen was employed at Iowa Trust and Savings Bank and later Iowa Lakes Community College. She received her Associate Degree from Iowa Lakes and completed her Bachelors Degree in Human Resource Management from Briar Cliff College. Eileen was the first non-traditional Briar Cliff student to graduate as co-Valedictorian of her class. After receiving her degree, Eileen went to work for AGP when their company began in Emmetsburg. She has been with AGP just over ten years.

Eileen was a member of Holy Family Parish in Emmetsburg and Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was also a member of the “More Cents Tomorrow” group.

Eileen loved being with her family and friends. She was very active in Wednesday evening volleyball and had played for many years on various teams. She was also very involved with the Relay for Life events held each year. Eileen always enjoyed traveling, and she truly loved her trip to Acapulco, Mexico that she took with her friends in May last year. She was also always ready to go visit Brian and Jennifer in Texas.

Eileen died Thursday, January 22, 2009 at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City at the age of 51. She was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill and Lois Stillman.

She is survived by her husband, Jeff of Emmetsburg, IA; her sons, Brian and his wife, Jennifer of Austin, TX and Kevin of Algona, IA; her parents, Melbourne and Ann Haag of Ledyard, IA; sisters, Linda Eichenberger and her husband, Lloyd of Ledyard, IA, and Mary Smith and her husband, Quinn of Grants, NM; a brother, Tom Haag and his wife, Patty of Ledyard, IA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Jan Stillman of Emmetsburg, IA; nieces and nephews, Kristen and Paul Patterson and their sons, Jacob and Will; Korey and Kari Stillman and their daughter, Addison; Kate Stillman; Keith and Melanie Doyle and their daughters, Hannah and Macey; Brad Eichenberger and his son, Parker; Collette Haag; Courtney Haag; Jade Smith; and Rene Smith; as well as many other relatives and friends.
