Hello,
I came across the post that you left some time ago re: Haage. My GGGgrandfather was Ulrich Haage from Scheffhausen, Switzerland born about 1823. His spouse was Anna Elizabeth Am Minter. I don't know who his father or who her parents were either. My line has stopped there. I am sure that your relative is one of Ulrich's sons. His son, John August Haage was my GG grandfather. He died in Mt. Pleasant. Are you from Mt. Pleasant as well? Almost all of my family is from that area and Sterling.
Have you had any leads with the line before Ulrich? If so would you mind sharing them with me?
