I am researching my original immigrant ancestor George G. Haagen b. 08 JUN 1784 in Pfoushiem, Baden, Germany m. Mary Berger/Barger in 1823. He arrived in the port of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on or about 25 SEP 1821, according to naturalization records.Mary and George settled first in Bald Eagle Township, Centre County, PA and the finally to Beech Creek, Centre/Clinton County, PA (County lines redrawn in 1850 - Centre in part became Clinton Co.,)
George and Mary had 8 children : Ernestine Sarah (Although I believe she went by Sarah), Mary Louisa, George Conrad, Saul, Alexander G., John (Johan), William Jackson, and Henrich Nathan (who went by just Nathan). I am particularily interested if anyone has information on Ernestine Sarah as I can't find out any information on her anywhere. She may have married Jesse Reder/Reeder - just a hunch from 1850 census records a Reder/Reeder family with a Sarah as wife born in 1824 (same as Ernestine) married with 3 children and later in 1870 one of those 3 and another sibling was living with George's widow - leading me to believe that maybe this Sarah Reder/Reeder is Sarah Haagen - Any help on that one -
Anyone who links into this family - I would love the info as I'm putting all of this together as a present for my grandmother for our next family reunion.
I have collected about 300 descendants of this original Haagen but most has been online data that is unconfirmed by me but I would be happy to share any of the info I have so far.
