My great-grandfather was Nicolai HAAGENSEN, born 1859 in Trondheim, Norway. He immigrated to the US, and settled in Wisconsin. Three of his brothers, Carl Edvard, Bernt Andreas (Andrew), and Ole Andreas also came to the US. Nicolai and Bernt changed their name to HAWKINSON; Carl changed his name to HOGENSON. Another brother, Oluf, came over to the US, but we believe he went back to Norway after a few years. However, Oluf's son John and daughter Hjordis came over and settled in Minnesota. John and his sister also took the name HOGENSON. Yet another brother, Haagen, stayed in Norway; two of his children, Gustav Oskar and Hakon Bernhard, came to the US and settled in Minnesota, using their farm name from Norway, STAVSETH.
I am especially looking for any HOGENSON relatives; and information about the siblings of Nicolai who stayed in Norway, Haagen, Oluf, Hansine, Caroline married (DOMAAS), Odin, and Oline.
