I am looking for someone to do some obit searching for me.
I have a family that came to US in 1903 and settled in Granite Falls, MN.
The family is as follows:
Brother Andreas Hawkinson
Brother Hans Haagensen, wife Mathie/Martha, daughters Jeannie, Ruth, sons, Alf, Sver
As usual their names changed a bit over the years.
Their children moved to Omaha, NE and on to CA.
I can trace back to Granite Falls, lose the trail then trace from Ellis Island back to Norway for the 1900 census then lose the trail again.
I have a mystery daughter that I can't account for.
Cleo is mentioned in her brother Alf's obit. She is not on the ships manifest. She is not on the 1900 Norwegian census but a daughter Hilda is. Hilda is not on the manifest either.
I would like to find Hans, Andreas and Martha's obits.
Hans died 11/15/1932 in Chippewa county.
Andreas died 11/12/1916 in Chippewa county.
Martha died 08/17/1945 in Stearns county(?).
If anyone can help or point me in the correct direction I would appreciate it. I will pay for this service.
