It's pretty clear that Joseph Jesse came from West Prussia with his wife Roselia (Rosa). I am pretty sure Rosa's family name is Blumke. The Jesse's claim to go back to King Jesse in the Bible, but I have no way to prove that, of course. There is a big Jesse festival every year in Stillwater, MN in the USA as that family really prospered there. They had so many children that they took over the town.

As to the Haak's, I think Stanislaus Haak came from Swierda in West Prussia. It seems that the Haak family and Jesse family had some connection in the mother country but I can't figure out the connection.
