Hello! I am looking for information on John Haake, born November 11, 1855 who married Anna Albers, born February 9, 1863. They came to Germantown, IL before they had their children. I am attempting to trace back my ancestors to where they were from in Germany...my grandfather said Dusseldorf....? They had a son, Lawrence H., born Feb. 8, 1903 (in the US) who married Helen Knipemann. I was also informed that my great-great grandparents may have taken the name Haake when they bought that farm but originally had a last name of Stugert (sp?). If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!

While searching for information on the parents/siblings of my ggg grandfather, Ferdinand Camp, I came across the name of his step-father, Edmund Haake, who died in Akron, Ohio, in 1878, according to the Will Extract. Heirs named in the will were minor grandchildren, Stella and William Witner. Apparently, Edmund's daughter and Ferdinand's mother pre-deceased Edmund.

Has anyone come across an Edmund? I have searched censuses for him with no luck. I know Ferdinand came immigrated in 1838-39 as a child from Bremen, Prussia. I do not know who he came with, where he entered, or where he grew up. I do know he worked for the railroad most of his adult life. Edmund is the only key I have to finding out about my ancestor. If you can help me, please contact me at ddframe@lvcm.com. Thank you.
Searching for Mary Haake family. Mary married Charles Nortmann in Mt. Healthy, OH. This is a small town north of Cincinnati. It was named Mt. Healthy because of the cholera epidemic of 1850 which ravaged Cincinnati and all in Mt. Healthy were spared. Must have been the different water supply. I believe their family might have been from Northern Ohio. Any information would be helpful.. Thanks.
