hallo,

misschien kan hierbij iets helpen. Mijn opa en oma van mijn moeders kant (haakmeester) komen uit rouveen en hebben daar altijd een autogarage gehad. mijn opa leeft nog steeds en zijn vader is gestorven in de oorlog. ik heb geen contact met die kant van de familie, maar ik weet dat zij nu in staphorst wonen. verdere familie wat betreft broers en zussen van mijn opa weet ik niet.

Aan Jan Wouter Jellema,

Ja, je komt voor in mijn aantekeningen als zoon van Jantje Haakmeester. Over deze familietak heb ik gegevens gekregen van Theo Haakmeester uit Sneek. Jullie stammen allemaal af van Drewes Haakmeester, postbesteller in Steenwijk en later tramconducteur c.q. buschauffeur in Sneek.

Ik probeer nu al jaren gegevens te krijgen over de vroegere motorcoureur Johannes Gerrit Haakmeester * 1927 en + 1960.
Hij werd 33 jaar oud. Verongelukt met de motor? Ik kan dat nergens bevestigd krijgen. Hij woonde bij zijn ouders, de familie Haakmeester- Bosch uit Rouveen bij Staphorst. Zijn zuster, Trijntje van Goor-Haakmeester, is inmiddels al overleden.Ik hoop dat iemand uit de familie in Steenwijk er nog iets van weet. Kan iemand reageren?

Mededelingen voor Nico Haakmeester, Marco Haakmeester.

In mijn aantekeningen vind ik gegevens over mijn familielid Martinus Haakmeester * 13-09-1893 (Vledder) en +05-06-1956 (Nijmegen). Gehuwd, en later gescheiden van Maria Bakker.

Maar, wie kan mij per email melden welke kinderen het echtpaar Haakmeester-Bakker had? Ik vind bij mij twee zonen:

1. Klaas (*14-07-1919) en + 04-11-1989 ( Heemstede?) Klaas was gehuwd met Theodora Uittendaal ( data onbekend) Hun dochter Cornelia Maria Hkm. is later gehuwd met Daniel Eikelenboom. Deze familie woonde in Haarlem en Heemstede vanwege het werk van Klaas Haakmeester aan het epilepsiecentrum Cruquishoeve in Heemstede. Vermoedelijk werkte hij daar als verpleger. Woonden ze ook in Haarlem, in de Frans Halsstraat?
Ik zie dat er nu in Zwolle een mevrouw J. Eikelenboom - Haakmeester woont. Was die gehuwd met Daniel Eikelenboom?

2. Geert Haakmeester, * ----1922 en + 04-08-1996 (Cruquius)Dit is een buurtschap vlak bij de Cruqiushoeve.
Was deze Geert Haakmeester gehuwd met Trees Jansen? Ik weet echter niet zeker of dit een broer was van Klaas Haakmeester. Was Geert daar als verpleger of als patient?

Tenslotte: Ik probeer al jaren iets te vinden over de vroegere motorcoureur Johannes Gerrit Haakmeester uit Rouveen. Zij ouders hadden daar een garagebedrijf. Uit mijn gegevens blijft dat hij op 33-jarige leeftijd overleden is. Verongelukt? Hij is daarna in Zwolle begraven.

I think you are 3rd cousin to my wife, whose grandmother was Maartje Haakmeester, born 1893 in Vledder, the daughter of Maarten Haakmeester and Tryntje Zeilmaker who arrived in the U.S. in 1910. If I have the right person, your great grandparents were Cornelius H. & Trintje Bakema and your gg grandparents were Martinus H. and Maria Elizabeth Brugman.
Perhaps we could trade information?

Martinus Haakmeester, born 13 Sept 1893 in Frederiksoord, is a member of the Haakmeester family that I have been researching. He is 1 cousin, 2 removed to my wife. I believe he is the son of Cornelius H. and Trinjte Bakema and the grandson of Martinus H. and Maria Elizabeth Brugman.
My wife's line from Martinus and Maria includes first child Maarten who married Trinjte Zeilmaker. Their seventh child was Maartje, my wife's grandmother. Trintje and several othr members of that family went to the United States in the early part of the 20th century.
Some of this information comes from entries in the Friesland Riksarchief, and some from Harry Zeilmaker.
I hope we can correspond and exchange information. Unfortunately, I do not speak Dutch.

Martinus HAAKMEESTER, born on 13-09-1893 in Kol. Frederiksoord, died on 05-06-1956 in Nijmegen at the age of 62. Hij werd veroordeeld wegens landloperij, wat de reden was voor zijn scheiding van Maria Bakker.
Married at the age of 24 on 02-08-1918 in Vledder, divorced after 6 years of marriage on 26-09-1924 in Meppel from Maria BAKKER, born on 01-10-1898 in Weststellingwerf, died on 23-02-1940 in Vledder at the age of 41, daughter of Klaas BAKKER and Maria OUKES.

Wie kan mij iets vertellen over de afkomst van deze familienaam. Mijn vader komt uit friesland, plaats Wolvega.
Zijn naam was Klaas Haakmeester geboren 14 juli 1919, overleden 2 november 1989. Wil graag weten of we van oorsprong nederlanders zijn ?

Looking for members of the Haakmeester family who emigtated to U.S. in 1910. Three came at that time, indicating that others had probably come earlier.

In 1910, from Frederiksoord, Drenthe, Netherlands, came Tryntje Opoui Haakmeester, the mother, age 58, son Pieter age 26 and daughter Maartje, age 17. They settled near Goshen, NY

Information about the family in Goshen or in Holland welcome. Do we connect at all?

F.Y.I. A lot of Haakmeester's originate from a litlle town in Drenthe called Staphorst and surrounding town's/city's

There is one Haakmeester (Dewez Haakmeester, sorry if I spelled it wrong) that has been creating a familytree-thing (don't have the english word right away). If you can get in contact with him you'll probably get A LOT, if not all, of the information there.

By the way my grand parents moved from Drenthe to The Hague so there are quite a few Haakmeester's in "Zuid-Holland" (west of the Netherlands) aswell.

My father once did a search on the family and he got back quite far , it seems we originate from germany from \Schwerin in Mecklenburg. There's even a church in a little town near Schwerin where my mother and brother discovered that still has a cross given by the hachmeister family (our ancesters) in a time of great need . People still put little notes on the cross
