I am still struggling with the solution to all of the Haas information I have collected. Bits and pieces keep falling together. I am pretty sure the name of the wife of this Valentine Haas must be Mary Magdalene from the census records she shows up on.

31 Twp 24 N Range 6W, Spring Lake Township, Tazewell, Illinois.
Stephen Haas land title was filed 27 Jan 1842 for land in section 29 Twp 24 N
Range 6W, Spring Lake, Tazewell, Illinois.
Charles and Deborah Seiwell deeded a parcel in N1/4SE1/4 Sec 30 Twp 24 Range 6
to Stephen, Eli, Henry Haas to be occupied as a place of burial, to be used as
specified for their use and also for burying persons in the neighborhood and
for no other purpose whatsoever on 22 Nov 1847; Volume 17, page 3 Tazewell Co.,
Illinois. The Haas burial plot is separated from the rest of the cemetery with
original iron fencing.
In the 1820 census, there were two males in Valentine & Mary Magdalene Haas
household, too old to be their children, but just the right age to be Arnold
and Charles Seiwell.
