Bertha Haasch, born Manthey, Friends and neighbors the sad news that the much beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister and daughter-in-law, Bertha Haasch, born Manthey, on Wednesday, the 18 September, at 4:30 in the afternoon, age 70 years, is resting in peace. The funeral will be Saturday, the 21 September, at 2 :00 in the afternoon, from the mourning home, No.1448 25th Street, to the Ev. Trinity Church, 4th St. and Meineke Ave. and from there to Graceland Cemetery. [Your] Private condolences, please, [to] the mourning and grieving left behind: Erich Haasch, husband, Adelheide Janke and Olga Trampe, daughters; Rudolph Haasch, son, along with daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, 4 grandchildren, 2 sisters, one brother and relatives.

Pommern Families: Grueneberg/Haasch

Am looking for the marriage dates for Carl Grueneberg. His
first wife was a Fredericke from the children's marriage records. I assume she died and he came to USA in 1851 with a wife called Wilhelmine. As far as I can determine her last name was Benz. One of the children's marriage records
said Carl was from Neuenhagen. Carl was born in 1812. In
the Milwaukee research I connected Grueneberg and Haasch families.

Also trying to determine if Charlotte Sophia Grueneberg was a sister of Carl. She was married to Ludwig Pagel and then
Friederich Knorr. She was born about 1807.

Any help would be appreciated.

My husbands name is Glenn Haasch. His father, whose name was Arthur had a brother named Walter. Arthur died in Milwaukee in 1972. Arthur and Walters parents were Karl and Anna Haasch. If these names are familiar let me know.

I just wanted to mention that I just started a website at http://www.haasch.org to start the update of the Haasch family geneology books originally published by my grandfather, Don E Haasch in the early 1980's. I am in the process of imaging the books and putting them online. The first Haasch family book is now posted in an image format.

Russell was a neighbor and childhood friend. He would be 58 years old...had an older brother and younger sister but I don't recall their names. I believe the family was originally from Wisconsin but don't have any other information. I would really like to make contact........
