Johann Habenicht, born around 1790 in the Electorate of Hannover, had three sons, born in the Kingdom of Hannover (same place, new status; mostly in what is now the state of Niedersachsen, Germany), who emigrated to the USA in the 1850's, wandering through several states, before settling in Iowa.

August, born 1831; settled west of Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Heinrich "Henry", born 1833; with August a while, then to California and Washington.

Christian Frederick, born 1836; settled in the Bloomfield area, Davis County, (SE Iowa); then near Indianola, Warren County (just south of Des Moines; then near town of Jamaica, Guthrie county, NW of Des Moines.

My tree is public on Ancestry.com: "Har's Family Tree".

I'm descended Christian Frederick Habenicht>>>Dr. Robert Hill Habenicht>>>R. Harvey Habenicht>>>living>>>myself.

I'm looking for cousins with more tidbits about the three brothers, their parents, and the old county.
