Edward Hable and Frances Krobot are my great grandparents. Frances' mother was Magadalena Krobot. Magdalena came to the states with Frances in 1907 to meet Edward who had arrived 2 years earlier in 1905. I have a friend that is helping me to find out more of my family history. I'm curious to which of Edward and Frances' children was you parent. Jerry "Frank" Hable was my grandfather. Dale Tieman that has posted on this board is also related to this line. His family is related to the Krobot line.

Karen,
My grandfather had a brother that was Vincent Hable. I believe the siblings were Adele, Vincent, Frances, Mollie, Edward Jr., Miloslav, Jerry and I believe a Victor. They were from St Louis. My great grandparents were Edward and Frances Hable. Frances maiden name was Krobot and she arrived in the states around 1907 from Pisarove which is somewhere in the Bohemia area. I have some info on this if this sounds like the right family to you.

To Dale and itfwi1:

I'm searching for information on Magdalena Krobot and I believe she's the same person both of you mentioned. The only difference is that she's listed as being married to a Frank on her death certificate and she is also widowed at her death in 1957. Would either of you mind emailing me and sharing your information so I can compare? With a name like hers I'm sure it's the same person. I'd also be happy to share what info I have for her if you're interested. My email is homegrownandthebug@gmail.com.
Charles Hable was buried in the Town of Hewitt. We believe that he did not have a gravestone marker and that Edward Hable may have put a gravestone marker on it at one time. If you still need to know, you can e-mail me, and I'll check with my eldest brother as he went with my grandfather in the 1980s to locate the burial place.

HABLE

I am getting back to my family history research after a long absence. I would like to continue assembling a family tree for HABLE.

I am particularly interested in learning more of Thomas Arthur Beasley, who arrived on 5 November, 1874 in Brisbane, Queensland Australia on the "Darling Downs". His occupation was butcher. He was believed to be born in 1858 in the Nottinghill area in England to a Charles Beasley & Louisa Hable. Ascendants/descendants of this couple are all of great interest.

If anyone would like to exchange HABLE information with me they would be very welcome. Information regarding any family trees bearing this surname would be very helpful to my research as I hope to eventually find connecting ancestors to all individuals bearing this same name worldwide. I would be more than willing to send what information I have by Gedcom, or any other agreed method, to any interested parties. I run Legacy 6 as a family history programme on my computer.

Thanks!

Hable family in the Czech Republic

My family has been living in Bohemia( later in Czechoslovakia, nowadays Czech Republic ) since 17th century. Their family name was HABLE, later on by the end of the 19th century they started to use a double surname HABLE-HAVEL. The last male HABLE-HAVEL was my father. It seems there are probably no HABLEs in the Czech Republic, but quite a lot of them in the States. As to the family legend they arrived in the country in the beginning of the 17th century due to their confession. Can sobody explaine me where does the Hables come from ? What is the meaning of the surname ?
Thanks
Hana Hable-Havel

The brother of my Grandfather, Vojtech Josef Mario HABLE-HAVEL, born 27th March 1890 in Bohemia arrived in US in August 1908. Former religion : protestant. He may have been using his Czech given names in an English form : Albert Joseph Mario , or using just one surname instead of his former double surname. Either HABLE or only HAVEL.
Any Connections ?
Thanks.
Hana Vera Havlova
I'm looking for information on my maternal grandmother but not sure if her maiden name is Hable, Habler, or Haebler .... seems no one kept any kind of records :( ..... She was born Jan. 18, 1894 and June 1983. She married Richard Voelcker, and I think they had 15 children. To the best of my knowledge they always lived in Texas.

I saw your posting for Dwors and thought perhaps we might be re
related. I do not have much on my family and their
appears to be some confusion to the Cleveland
Dwors lines. As far as I know. Carl Christian Frederick
Dwors married Maria Carolina Fredericka Lange

Carl or CHARLES as he is sometimes called. Was the son of
Christian Dwors. MAria his wife the daughter
of John and Marie Lange. They were supposidly
from Alsace Lorraine. My great grandmother Fredericka
Dwors Beebe was their daughter and lived in Cleveland
With her brothers and sisters. I believe that
their names may have been Elmer, MAble and others.
I would love to hear from you. Please use my
AOL address.
Thanks
Joanne
