Hackman family, from Bosnia

My grandfather, Michael Robert Hackman, emigrated to the US from Bosnia with part of his family in early 1900's. Original family name was Heimovich. Don't know names of his parents. Do know of one of sisters, Josephine Hackman Wallace, lived in Nevada. Michael Hackman married my grandmother, Clydine M. Richardson about 1932 or 1933, in California, or perhaps Tonapah, NV. They had a daughter, Michelle Roberta Hackman. Divorced and then lost track. Michael died in 1995 in Florida. Clydine died in February 2009, in New Mexico, and Michelle died February 2009, in Arizona. Anyone with information about Michael Hackman please reply. I can provide geneology on my maternal side of the family.

Seeking info on Beulah Hackman, born October 1898. Her mother was Estella Yost. In the 1900 census, Beulah is listed in Reading, PA with her mother, father (whose first name is unreadable), and her grandmother, Annie Wheekly Yost. In the 1910 census, she is living in Philadelphia with her grandmother, Annie Yost, but there is no mention of her parents. Annie Wheekly Yost is my GGGrandmother and I am trying to track others descending from her and her husband, George Walter Yost. Beulah also had an uncle, James Franklin Spurgeon Yost, Pottstown, PA; aunts Annie Yost Kreider, Cora Sophia Yost Sargent, Maggie Virginia Yost Kuhns (my line) and uncle Elbridge (sometimes went by Edward) Walter Yost.

Thanks, Nancy

Fred Hackman, b.1836, wife Ella/Ellen, b.1860, dau Annie Kanke, b.1895, lived Wayne Co., IN

I have an original 5”x7” photograph of “Ella & Frank Hackman & Anna Hackman Burkhardt”, which I’d like to get back to descendants or family members. Photo was taken in Richmond (Wayne Co.) IN, and Fred looks about 65, Ella about 50 and Anna is about age 10.

I found the family of Fred Hackman in the 1900 census for Richmond, IN, showing his date of birth as May 1836; Ellen Apr 1860; and Anna Kanke, age 5, a niece, born Mar 1895. The 1910 Richmond census shows Fred as age 52 (meaning 1858); Ellen, age 50 (meaning 1860) and Annie Kanke, age 15 as “adopted daughter”.

OneWorldTree shows Anna Hackman married Reinhold Burkhardt, whose DOB was Feb 1888. I found Reinhold and Anna Burkhardt in the 1930 censuses for Wayne Co., IN.

Get back to me at margerice@prodigy.net if you are related to Fred and Ella/Ellen Hackman or Anna Kanke Burkhardt.

Hello, my name's Cheryl & I'm researching the Wildy tree for a friend. Her tree goes David Wildy B: c1793 D: 1853 Croydon married Sarah Benham B: c.1793 D: 1864 Chelsea. Their son: John Wildy B: 1827 D: 1887 Kingston married Elizabeth Lovell B: c1830 D: 1871. Their son: David William Wildy B: 1861 Croydon D: 1942 married Jane Hackman B: 1863 Huntingdon D: 1950. Their son: Gordon William Wildy B: 1894 Croydon D: 1955 married Elsie May Elliott B: 1894 D: 1996. Their son: Vernon John Wildy B: 1956 Croydon married Eileen Lilly Scott & they moved to Australia with their daughter Vivienne. Tree appears to trace back to David Wildy who married Sarah Goldsmith (it seems goldsmith is an assumption due to 1861 census having Sarah Wildy as head of household & has a sister living with her & her surname is Goldsmith. This info came from old papers 1990 from Ted Wildy in New Zealand who’s now deceased. Would love to have any info you would be willing to share.

Beatrice Hackman Hall from Minnesota

I am searching for family or descendants of Beatrice Hackman, originally from possibly the Brownsdale, Minnesota, area. She married my father's brother, Francis William "Bill" Hall, Jr. of Iowa. They married shortly before or during World War II. Bill joined the Army Air Corps as a mechanic instructor and traveled to Texas, California, and Lousiana. Bea stayed behind in MN but did occasionally meet with him at various bases. They later divorced about 1951-53 and he remarried. Bea and Bill had no children. Incidentally, Bill passed away in 1998.

Bill worked as a hired hand for Bea's family. She had a brother who may also have been in WWII named Leroy, and other brothers may have been Vic and Vince.

I am sorry I have no pertinent information about Bea. I am interested in finding her family to return postcards and letters she wrote, only if they are interested in possessing them. Being a family historian, I enjoy finding such treasures myself, and am happy to return these priceless items to a welcoming home.

Please contact me privately. Thank you.

Hi - I saw some of your old postings on the Hackman family at ancestry.com and was wondering if you might be able to help me. My grandfather, Victor Christian Diehm's, mother was Mary Lizzie Hackman and her family was from Mannheim. Her father was August(us) Miller Hackman - we think born around 1856. This is as far back as I have for that branch of my family. Do you happen to have any information that might help me? I would appreciate it. Thanks! Lori

Russ, Glad to receive your reply. It appears the time frame does not fit as the estimated dob for Henry Sr is 1708 to 1752 and my Henry was not born until 1831. I would love to be able to fit my Henry in somewhere as I have been looking for along time for some connection. My Henry stowed away in 1841 to come to America. he and his wife, Eliza Jane Ward had 10 children, all born in NY.
