Lovila T. (Kempen) Haese (1920 - 2012)
Lovila T. Haese (nee Kempen) age 91, of Two Rivers, died on January 4, 2012 at Northland Lodge surrounded by her loving family.
Lovila was born on April 10, 1920, in Little Black, Taylor County, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Wilbert and Martha (Schmit) Kempen. In mom's own words she had written: "I enjoyed my nursing school at St. Vincent's in Chicago. I liked being a nanny to Don McNeil's children (The Breakfast Club). I enjoyed bowling and golf with my friends. I liked walking with Franklin and the kids. I liked seeing the grandchildren."
Lovila was blessed with a wonderful marriage of 63 years to Franklin Haese, who preceded her in death on February 4, 2010. Sadly, Lovila lost two sons, Paul and Richard Haese and a son-in-law, Dennis Theyerl.
Lovila is survived by three daughters and two sons: Barbara (Richard) Eis; Thomas (Sandy) Haese, Peggy (Robert) Walkner; William (Casey) Haese; Gwen (the late Richard) Haese and Patricia (the late Dennis) Theyerl.
Lovila is further survived by 17 grandchildren and their families (including 20 great-grandchildren): Randy and Leanne (Eis) Kahler, Tim and Paula (Eis) Long, Jeff and Kristin Eis, Chris and Missy Eis. Bob and Carolyn Haese, Andy and Megan Haese, Kevin and Michelle Haese, Tony and Joleen Walkner, Peter Walkner, Brian and Angie Haese, Mark and Laura (Haese) Clanderman; Ashley Haese, Kaitlyn Haese, Michael Haese and Philip and Kari Ann Theyerl. She is also survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Lester Lodl, and a sister-in-law, Janet (the late Eugene) Kempen.
Lovila was also preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law and brothers and sisters-in-law: Vernon and Lorraine Kempen, Lucille and Clarence Haese, Sylvester Kempen, Eugene Kempen, Margaret and Herbert Schetter and John and Cynthia Wier
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3218 Tannery Rd., Two Rivers, Wisconsin, 54241. The Rev. Tom Reynebeau will officiate at the Mass of Christian Burial, with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot, Wisconsin.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, after 9 a.m. Saturday until the time of Mass at 10:30 a.m. There will be no Friday evening visitation.
The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home assisted the family with funeral arrangements.
The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to the entire staff at Northland Lodge for providing exceptional care to both Lovila and Franklin over the years. Northland Lodge easily became an extended family to the entire Haese family. Special thanks, also, to Jackie and Rachel of Southern Care Hospice.
( in Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter from January 5 to January 6, 2012 ).

St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, "

Some of the original posts in this set of postings mentioned a Herman Haese who moved to Milwaukee in 1870's 1880's. (They came from Statine uper Oder River. Landed in Baltmore, MD from Hamburg). Is Herman related to the Haese family tree you have information on. My G3 grandfather was named Herman Haese and died in Milwaukee around 1912. Any information you have will be appreciated.
Carl August HAESE, b 1844 Berlin

Looking for family information connected to Carl [Karl] A[ugust] HAESE [HASE/HASSE], b 1844 in Berlin, Prussia. He listed architect on his son's 1877 Phila, PA birth record and clothing cutter on the Phila, PA 1880 census. I found an 1873 Berlin marriage between Carl A. HAESE and Emma E. MUTH at Andreas Kirche [Evangelical Lutheran]. Emma may have been HEIMANN before possibly marrying MUTH. Carl is listed as Chas. HAESE on both birth record and census. Charles and Emma had two known children: Francis A. HAESE, b 1877 PA and Ada E. HAESE, b 1879 PA, according to the 1880 Phila, PA census. Carl may have had another son or brother named Julian/Julius. Carl and Emma were said to have died around 1882 in PA. The son, Francis A. HAESE, later became Frank A. HAYES.
