Hi, I have one Leo Haessly in my tree, born abt. 1904, son of Wenzell Haessly, I know that there were brothers who stayed in Ohio, and 3 or 4 went on to WI. Phillip born 1829, md. first Anna Romans, 2nd Anna Kahut. You find the Haessly name spelled many different ways, usually because of the person writing it not knowing how to spell it. There is a man in Germany a Mr. Andrew Wagg, who has done a great deal of research on the Haessly's back to Fridolin Hable born 1683, he has his research at Rootsweb.com. My husband is from Phillip 1829's line, through the second wife, Phillip had a total of 20 children through both wives. The line in WI. has thinned, as most of us have only had 2 children due to lifes expenses. Thank you for writing and if you would like further info. let me know. Have a Merry Christmas.
