Hafer & Bohn (Boon) Marriage?

My Great Grandmothers middle name is HAFER (Laura deFrain) her mother, Susan Maria, maiden name was BOHN (BOON) Susan was born about 1818 near Union County PA. I have papers that show there were a lot of Hafer in this area from 1800 to 1840 does anyone have in their tree a marriage between these families? My best guess would be that it happened before 1800. sorry I do not have parental information for Susan

I'm a great, great, great, great granddaughter of Mathias (married to Julianna Schmidt) but I've been given (by an aunt) the date of his birth as 1-28-1745 (in Durlangen, Germany) and died 9-24-1817. Also, my info shows Julianna born in 1750. I would also love to hear from other descendants and am curious about any family reunions that any descandants might have. Also, does anyone know where Mathias and Julianna are buried?

CORRECTION: Mary should actually be in the 1931 photo not the 1937. There are 6 girls in the front, the link is:
http://www2.oleysd.k12.pa.us/images/1931.JPG I do not have a copy of the 1931 yearbook.

A list of all graduates of Oley High thru 1937 is at:
http://boards.ancestry.com/localities.northam.usa.states.pen...
The yearbook also lists where they lived in 1937. The yearbook itself is not online as far as I know, but I have a copy. The following post lists all Hafers thru 1937:
http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.hafer/200/mb.ashx
I do not know which of these may be Mary's siblings. You can find photos of the Oley High classes at:
http://www2.oleysd.k12.pa.us/images/
The 1937 class is at:
http://www2.oleysd.k12.pa.us/images/1937.JPG
The people are not identified, but Mary is likely to be in that photo.

I'm interested in the yearbook where your information comes from. Is it online? I'm not sure how many of her siblings are in the yearbook.

She was born in 1901 in Newport, KY and he was born in 1909 in KY.

I can find his name with a family but her name is never there so I'm not sure if that is the right family (from Ohio).

I posted information about the Hafers because 2 of my relatives married into descendents of the Hafers as listed at http://hafergary.com/ Also there is a Hafer Road which intersects Toll House Road in Manatawny, Oley Township near where my grandparents lived. I think the road may be named after Hafers who lived there for a long time. So I was hoping to come across some Hafers who have information on the Lechner and Drumheller families who lived in the area, or about the Pleasantville or Manatawny areas, or about Oley High graduates from the mid 1920s through the early 1940s as listed in yearbooks, etc.

Richard, just came across your query while looking for something else which is why I'm answering so long after you posted. Curtis, Gertrude and Earl Hafer were siblings. Curtis was my father-in-law. I have some information on this family if you are interested. I'm not sure what you were looking for when you listed the Hafers who graduated from Oley High.
I made an error in my previous message - Cynthia Ann was enumerated in 1900 as Sarty Anna Milner. I have also found her in earlier census records:
1850 Cynthia A Milliner 1828 IN with husband Milton
[= James Milton] in District 21, Vermillion, Illinois
1860 Cynthia Millender 1826 IN with James M in Blount, Vermillion, IL po Danville
1870 Lenora Millener 1826 IN with husband near other Hoskins family members in Maine Prairie, Stearns, Minnesota
1875 C A Milliner with son Perry 1846 IL in Maine Prairie, Stearns, MN
Eli Hoskins, son of Azariah, had a land patent for NE 20 T122N R29W 5th PM Stearns. The 1896 plat of Maine Prairie Twp, Stearns County has him on this land.
Cynthia Webb Hoskins Milender married Henry Chesney b abt 1816 Ireland sometime after the 1875 MN census. In 1880 Syntha A Chesny 56 b 1824 IL is with Henry & son Merriam Milner 14 b 1866 MN next to Richard Milner in Two Rivers Twp, Morrison, MN [they may be in Elmdale Twp as Elmdale was enumerated under Two Rivers] In 1885 she is enumerated as Susan Chesny 56 b 1824 IN with Henry & son Merriane Chesny 18 b 1867 MN. Henry's daughter Martha Jane Chesney 1855 married Cynthia's son George Milender abt 1878. In 1880 they are enumerated as Miller, in 1885 & 1895 as Milnery, and in 1900 as Milner. In 1900 they are living with George's mother Anna Sarty [probably Chesney] 73 b Jun 1826 IN. She is not with them in 1905 and the Minnesota Death Index has no entries for her under Chesney.
I am researching the Chesney family of Ireland then Brant Twp, Bruce County, Ontario then Minnesota

I have a feeling that these parents both died and left minor children and therefore the kids were sent to other family members. Did you find any new information?

For the past few years I have been working with Bob Milender, one of Darrll's cousins in California. He had a lot of information and I had some so between the two of us, we have found some of the data. It has been a few months since I have worked on the family tree and hope to find time to do more in the near future. Maxine Fender wrote that you were working on the family tree and I have not answered her Christmas letter yet.
Carol,

Can you provide me with information on the Hafers from Guernsey County? I have an Eliza Hafer born July 1,1811 in Washington County Ohio, I believe she was married in 1830 in Guernsey County Ohio. The 1880 census has both parents born in PA.

Thank you,
Bob Bales
